Sour is the new salt. We’ve somewhat forgotten it, but vinegar is a surprisingly good alternative to salt. And that’s timely, because 85% of people in the Netherlands consume too much salt. Reducing salt intake is better for your health, especially for your kidneys. That’s why, together with vinegar maker Tromp & Rueb and the Dutch Kidney Foundation, we created the Zuurvaatje: a handcrafted reminder that encourages you, at the table, to choose vinegar instead of salt more often.
Het Zuurvaatje was featured across a wide range of leading media outlets, including de Volkskrant, De Telegraaf, AD, and Trouw, as well as Men’s Health, Editie NL, Omroep MAX, and NPO Radio 1, 2, and 5.
